BEING KEEGAN is a psychological, coming of age drama spanning three decades in Liverpool. Starring multi BAFTA nominated powerhouse Stephen Graham (THE IRISHMAN, THE VIRTUES, THE HELP, THIS IS ENGLAND, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) and a host of emerging Liverpool, UK talent. The film is Directed and Produced by award winning and BAFTA shortlisted filmmaker Stephanie Zari, written by award winning playwright Jilly Gardiner and produced by BAFTA nominated Producer Jennifer Monks.
The film garnered support from BAFTA and OSCAR winning post-production teams at Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post, Company 3, Rushes and Goldcrest. The film also secured Stephanie a PIA PRESSURE NEW VOICES 2017 Award. BEING KEEGAN’s trailer was released to astounding success, securing additional completion funds from TEMPLEHEART FILMS as well as being selected by AWARDEO and FILM SHORTAGE for trailer and campaign of the week, INDIEWIRE’s Project of The Week and shortlisted for the SCREEN CRAFT Short Production Award as well as receiving Merseyside Arts Council and Decibel Foundation funding and Decibel Foundation funding.
