WILD ~ Feature Film
Living on the outskirts of a small town in rural Worcestershire in 1979 is 15 year-old Tyler Jones. She's a girl, but you wouldn't know it. Trapped in a shed of a house with a mother that doesn't like girls and a slave to her two older brothers, the only form of nurturing she gets is from her Grandfather. When Tyler's brother notices that she's blossoming into a woman, his advances see her flying out of the house to the refuge of her Grandfather, only to find him dead. Reeling from grief and abandonment, Tyler runs away to the familiar woods. At first struggling against the elements of nature, Tyler begins a journey of self-discovery that leads her to accept herself for the woman she is.
WILD is a coming of age story with strong themes of self-discovery and identity through loss and abandonment and the ultimate triumph of the human spirit.
IN THE GRIND ~ Half-hour TV Dramedy Series
Writer
In The Grind is a character-driven, dramatic comedy series that has two coffee giants and a boutique café in a perpetual coffee war, each with its own cult following and social status. Occupying three corners of the busiest and trendiest intersection in town, they feud over the patronage of city dwellers. A parody of urban coffee culture, In The Grind goes beyond the plastic smiles and delves deep into the minds and hearts of the employees, owners and patrons alike.
With the feel of a Soap Opera gone gretty, mixed with a java jolt of dark humour and dramatic irony, these vibrant characters struggle through the intense rivalry, social struggles and love triangles that percolate just beneath those coffee-counter smiles.
